Searching for PUBG Mobile Light and not finding it? You aren’t alone, and it’s usually not a problem with your phone. Pre-registration opened on August 25, 2026 and is open now on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and availability isn’t identical everywhere. This guide explains where it’s available, why it may not appear for you, and what to do about it.
Which countries is it listed in? We checked 53 storefronts
Most sites repeat the press release. We did something different: on 2 September 2026 we opened the Apple App Store listing for PUBG Mobile Light in 53 country storefronts, one at a time, and recorded exactly what each returned. Here’s the result.
46 of the 53 have the listing live. Every one of those 46 shows the same expected release date: 12 November 2026. Not a range, not a spread, the identical date in every storefront from Brazil to Bangladesh to Finland. Whatever else is uncertain, Apple isn’t showing a staggered regional rollout.
Seven returned nothing at all. In these countries the App Store listing doesn’t exist, so there’s no pre-registration to complete and nothing to find no matter how long you search.

This isn’t the complete world list, it’s the 53 storefronts we checked. If your country isn’t named in either group we haven’t tested it, and the honest answer is that we don’t know rather than that it’s missing.
One honest caveat on that table. The absence of the listing is something we checked directly and can stand behind. The reasons in the right-hand column are our reading of why, based on how PUBG Mobile is already published in each of those markets. Krafton hasn’t published a country list or explained any exclusion, so treat the left column as fact and the right column as informed inference.
The common thread: Light appears to be absent exactly where PUBG Mobile already runs under a separate regional operation, plus Russia where the store itself is restricted. If you’re in one of those seven, waiting won’t help. India at least has a real alternative in BGMI Lite, whose pre-registration is already open.
Is PUBG Mobile Light available in my country?
PUBG Mobile Light is a global release from Krafton, launching through the official Android and iOS stores. In most regions where PUBG Mobile itself is available, you should expect Light to appear as well, starting with pre-registration, which opened on August 25, 2026. November 2026 is the launch window reported across coverage of Krafton’s announcement, though an exact day hasn’t been named.
The big exception is India, which is covered below. Krafton hasn’t published a full country-by-country list, so treat any site claiming an exact regional rollout schedule as unofficial.
India: PUBG Mobile Light isn’t the version you get
This is the most important case, and it catches a lot of people out. India runs the game as Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), a separate India-specific title. So India’s lighter version is BGMI Lite, not PUBG Mobile Light.
Krafton India has confirmed BGMI Lite for launch by the end of 2026, but has not announced a BGMI Lite pre-registration date. If you’re in India and can’t find PUBG Mobile Light in the Play Store now that pre-registration has opened, that is expected. You aren’t blocked, and nothing is broken, India simply gets a different build on a different timeline. The two are separate listings: PUBG Mobile Light is com.tencent.igfit, while BGMI Lite is com.krafton.bgmilite.
Why can’t I find it in my app store?
- You’re in India. You’re waiting on BGMI Lite instead. See above.
- You’re looking for the closed beta. A closed regional beta is rolling out in selected territories ahead of launch. It’s invite-only and doesn’t appear as a public store listing.
- Staggered rollout. Store listings often appear in waves over hours, not everywhere at once.
- Your store region. Your account’s country setting controls what you see, not your current location.
- Device compatibility. Very old devices can be filtered out of a listing entirely.
How to check your app store region
On Android, open the Play Store, tap your profile icon, then Settings, then General, then Account and device preferences, where your country is listed. On iPhone, open Settings, tap your name, then Media & Purchases, then View Account, then Country/Region.
Store country is tied to your payment method and account history, and stores limit how often it can be changed, so it isn’t a quick switch.
Should you use a VPN or an APK to get it early?
No, and this matters. Using a VPN or changing your store region to grab a build not intended for your region can break matchmaking and put your account at risk, and sideloading an unofficial APK is worse. The game hasn’t launched, so no APK circulating today is the real game. At best it’s an old file for the unrelated PUBG Mobile Lite, at worst it’s malware or an account-stealer.
Anything that asks for your game login first, tells you to disable Play Protect, or promises free UC is a scam. Waiting for the official store release in your region is the only safe route.

Availability for the new Light app is decided by the official stores, not by where the old Lite used to be offered.
