Apple lists 12 November 2026, 08:00 UTC. Krafton has not named a day in any public announcement, and Google Play shows no date at all, so treat the Apple date as the best evidence rather than a confirmed launch.

When is PUBG Mobile Light releasing?
The App Store listing shows an expected release date of November 12, 2026. That’s the date set on the listing itself, and Apple marks it as expected rather than confirmed, so it can still move.
Google Play shows no date at all, and Krafton hasn’t named a specific day in any public announcement. Coverage of the announcement reports November 2026 as the window. As of August 31, 2026 the App Store date is the most specific figure available anywhere, and it comes from the official listing rather than from a news report.
Pre-registration opened on August 25, 2026 on Google Play and the App Store and is open now. That timing is the most useful signal available: studios open pre-registration when a launch is genuinely close, usually a few months out rather than a year. A November window fits that pattern.
Everything beyond that is inference, including ours. We’ll put the exact day at the top of this page the moment it’s official.
What does a November 2026 launch window actually mean?
A window instead of a date almost always means the same thing: the build is still in testing and store approvals aren’t finished. A publisher commits to a specific day only once those are locked, which is why exact dates usually land in the final two to four weeks before release, not months ahead.
In practice, a November window leaves every day of that month in play. It also leaves room for a staged rollout, where the game goes live in some regions first and reaches others over the following days. That’s normal for a large mobile launch and it isn’t a delay.
What the window does rule out is any precise day you see quoted right now. There’s no official day to quote yet.
Could the launch date slip, and what would warn you early?
It could. Mobile launches move by weeks fairly often, and a November window already gives Krafton room to land at the end of the month without ever calling it a delay.
Signals worth watching, in rough order of how much they mean:
- Neither store listing shows a firm release date by late October. Publishers normally set that field a few weeks out.
- The closed regional beta widens or restarts instead of winding down. Testing that expands late usually means the build still needs data.
- Krafton’s channels stay quiet about Light through October while posting about other titles.
None of these is proof on its own. Two of them together, late in the window, would be the point to start expecting December instead of November.
We only post dates once Krafton confirms them.
How do I pre-register for PUBG Mobile Light?
Pre-registration opened on August 25, 2026 and is open now on both stores. On Android, open the Google Play listing and tap Pre-register. On iOS, open the App Store listing and tap Get. Apple labels it Get even though the game isn’t out yet, and confirming reserves it. Either way the app downloads itself the day the game goes live.
The official listings are com.tencent.igfit on Google Play and the PUBG MOBILE LIGHT app on the App Store. If a link points anywhere else, it isn’t the game.
For the full step-by-step on Android and iOS, plus region notes and scam warnings, see our dedicated guide: PUBG Mobile Light pre-registration.
What happens on launch day if you pre-registered?
Three things, in this order.
First, the store tells you. Google Play sends a notification that the game is available, and if auto-install is enabled for your device the app downloads and installs on its own. On iOS the pre-order downloads itself once the app goes live.
Second, you sign in. An existing PUBG Mobile account works, so most people won’t be creating anything new.
Third, you play. Erangel is included at launch, so there’s no second download standing between you and your first match. The install is around 1GB on Android, and Apple lists 2.5 GB on iOS.
Two practical notes. Auto-install on Android only fires when the device has space and, by default, a Wi-Fi connection, so clear a couple of gigabytes before launch day. And a global launch day is busy: if the store listing or the login servers are slow for the first few hours, that is load, not a problem with your account.
Does pre-registration guarantee rewards or early access?
No, and both halves of that are worth spelling out.
It doesn’t get you into the closed beta. Pre-registration and beta access are separate processes. Pre-registering is a store action anyone can do; beta invitations are handled by the publisher in selected territories.
It doesn’t guarantee rewards either. Krafton hasn’t announced any pre-registration reward tiers for Light. Reward campaigns are common for launches of this size, and if one is announced, pre-registered users are normally the group that receives it, but nothing has been confirmed and we won’t invent tiers that don’t exist.
What it does guarantee is small but still worth having: a notification the moment the game is live, and an automatic download so you’re playing on day one without watching the store yourself. It’s free, and you can cancel it any time before release.
What are the pre-registration rewards?
None announced yet. If Krafton confirms reward tiers, we’ll list them here, and we won’t make up rewards that don’t exist. More on how these usually work in our rewards guide.

What is the closed regional beta and who gets in?
A closed regional beta is reported to be rolling out in selected territories ahead of launch. That comes from news coverage rather than the store listing, so treat it as reported and not as something you can sign up for today.
Closed means invite only and capped. Regional means a short list of countries picked for server load and language coverage, not a global test. Builds like this are normally distributed through a separate test listing or an access code, and testers are usually under a confidentiality agreement, which is why footage from them is so thin.
There’s no application form we can point you to, because no public one exists. If wider testing opens, it’ll show up on Krafton’s official channels and on the store listing, and we’ll add the link here.
Anyone selling beta access, beta keys or a beta APK is running a scam. There’s nothing to sell.
Does the release date differ by country?
Slightly, yes. The rollout goes through the official Android and iOS stores, and store listings typically go live in waves rather than everywhere at the same moment. A few hours of difference between regions is normal, and time zones alone mean some countries wake up to the game a calendar day before others.
What wouldn’t be normal is a gap of weeks. Unless a country has a specific licensing or regulatory situation, most markets get a global mobile launch inside the same window.
India is the real exception, and it isn’t a delay. India runs Battlegrounds Mobile India, so it gets BGMI Lite instead, on its own timeline. For a full breakdown of who gets which version and when, see availability by country.
Does India get PUBG Mobile Light on the same date?
No. India isn’t getting PUBG Mobile Light at all. It gets BGMI Lite, a separate game with its own store listing (com.krafton.bgmilite) and its own release timeline.
Don’t apply the November 2026 window to BGMI Lite. That window belongs to PUBG Mobile Light. BGMI Lite pre-registration is open and its launch is expected by the end of 2026, which is a different and looser target.
Both games exist for the same reason, a smaller battle royale build for modest phones, but they’re published separately for the Indian market, the same way PUBG Mobile and BGMI have always been separate apps. If you’re in India, follow the BGMI Lite timeline rather than this one. Our full guide is here: BGMI Lite.
What can you expect at launch?
Erangel is included at launch, so the base install is enough to play. Miramar, Sanhok, Team Deathmatch and Metro Royale are downloadable on demand, which is how the install stays small. There’s no forced second download before your first match.
Size is around 1GB on Android, and Apple lists 2.5 GB on iOS. That’s the entire point of the game: a build that fits, updates and runs on phones that struggle with the full PUBG Mobile client.
Core combat is tuned to match PUBG Mobile rather than replace it, so expect the same weapons, the same gunplay feel and the same match structure with the visual load turned down.
Will my PUBG Mobile account and items carry over?
Yes. Existing PUBG Mobile accounts work in Light, and owned items and cosmetics carry over. You sign in with the account you already use and your inventory follows you.
That means you aren’t starting from zero. Progress, purchases and the skins you paid for sit on the account rather than on whichever client you happen to be playing.
If you’ve never played PUBG Mobile, you create an account on first launch like any other game. There’s nothing to transfer and nothing to lose.
Can I play with friends who are on regular PUBG Mobile?
Yes. Cross-play with standard PUBG Mobile is supported, so Light players can squad with players on the normal client. Ranks, matchmaking and leaderboards are unified across both.
This matters more than it sounds. A lighter client usually splits the player base and leaves the smaller side with long queues and empty lobbies. Sharing matchmaking with the main game avoids that, and it means the friend who bought a new phone and the friend who didn’t can still play together.
It also means Light isn’t a separate ladder. The rank you push in Light is the rank you’ve in PUBG Mobile.
Is there an APK or early download before release?
No. There’s no official PUBG Mobile Light APK, and there’s no early build you can legitimately install today.
Every site offering a PUBG Mobile Light APK download right now is serving you something else: a renamed copy of another game, an installer bundled with adware, or outright malware. Some of them simply repackage the old PUBG Mobile Lite APK under a new name. None of them are the game.
The only two places the game will ever come from are the Google Play listing (com.tencent.igfit) and the App Store listing. If you pre-register you don’t need to hunt for a download at all, because it arrives on its own.
For the full breakdown of the official download once it’s live, see our download guide.
How do you tell a real announcement from a fake one?
Four checks. If an announcement fails any one of them, it isn’t real.
Source. Krafton’s official channels and the two store listings are the only places a release date can come from. A YouTube thumbnail, a Telegram post or an aggregator article citing unnamed sources isn’t a source.
Package name. The real Android listing is com.tencent.igfit. The real iOS listing is the PUBG MOBILE LIGHT app on the App Store. A different package name is a different app, whatever the icon looks like.
Wording. Real announcements state plainly what they’re announcing, with a date or a window and a region. Fake ones lean on words like confirmed, leaked and official while never linking to anything official.
Evidence you can open yourself. Screenshots are trivial to fake. A store listing isn’t. If the claim is a date, open the listing and see whether the date is actually there.
The old PUBG Mobile Lite era ran on fake dates for years, and many of the same accounts are doing it again now. Nothing has changed except the name of the game.
Why you shouldn’t trust the dates you see elsewhere
Search for this and you’ll find sites listing confident, specific release dates. None of them are official. Krafton announced the game and opened pre-registration; the November 2026 window comes from coverage of that announcement. No exact day has been named anywhere official.
The test is simple: if a date isn’t on an official Krafton channel or a store listing, treat it as fiction.
How do I make sure I don’t miss the launch?
Pre-register now. Pre-registration opened on August 25, 2026, and the app then installs automatically the day it goes live, so you’re playing on launch day without checking the store yourself.
Bookmark this page too. We update it whenever Krafton confirms a new detail.
What should I do while waiting?
Four things that are actually worth the time.
Free up space. The install is around 1GB on Android, and Apple lists 2.5 GB on iOS, and auto-install on launch day fails quietly if the phone is full. Clearing space now saves you a fight with your storage settings on day one.
Check your PUBG Mobile login. Existing accounts carry over, so this is the moment to find out whether you still remember which social login you used two years ago. Recovering it now is easier than recovering it while your squad waits.
Decide which account you want. Items and cosmetics follow the account, so if you’ve two, pick the one you plan to keep playing before launch rather than after.
Ignore the countdown videos. There’s no confirmed day to count down to, so any timer you see was invented by whoever posted it.
How do I follow official updates?
The most reliable sources are Krafton’s own channels and the official store listings, which went live on August 25, 2026. Anything that promises a download or an exact launch date outside those isn’t official.
What do we still not know?
- The exact release date
- Pre-registration rewards, if there are any
- Which countries are in the closed regional beta, and whether it’ll widen
- The full map and mode lineup at launch beyond Erangel and the on-demand downloads
- Exact minimum device requirements
We update this tracker the moment any of these are confirmed, and we leave the gaps visible rather than filling them with guesses.
Should you pre-register now or wait?
Now, and there’s no real argument for waiting. It’s free, it takes one tap, it commits you to nothing, and you can remove it before release if you change your mind. The only thing it changes is that you find out the moment the game is live instead of a week later.
Pre-register once and the rest is automatic. Then check back here for the confirmed launch date and any reward news.
Looking for the PUBG Mobile Lite release date?
If you searched for a PUBG Mobile Lite release date, there isn’t one, and the reason is probably not what you expect. PUBG Mobile Lite already exists and is still live outside India. It launched years ago, so there’s no upcoming release date for it. Its India store listing returns a 404, which is why players there assume the whole game is gone.
Two things get mixed up constantly here. PUBG Lite for PC shut down worldwide in 2021. That was a different product on a different platform. PUBG Mobile Lite, the phone game, isn’t the same thing and wasn’t part of that shutdown.
The 2026 release everyone is waiting on is PUBG Mobile Light, spelled with a G, and the dates on this page are its dates: pre-registration open since August 25, 2026 and a launch window reported as November 2026. If you were hoping for a small PUBG build on a budget phone, Light is the one to track. See Light vs Lite for the full comparison.
Frequently asked questions
When is PUBG Mobile Light releasing?
November 2026 is the reported launch window and no exact day has been named, by Krafton or on either store listing. Pre-registration opened on August 25, 2026 and is open now.
When does pre-registration open?
It opened on August 25, 2026, on the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, and it’s open now.
Is there a confirmed PUBG Mobile Light release date?
Not an exact day. November 2026 is the launch window reported across coverage of the announcement, so anyone quoting a specific day right now is guessing.
How will I know when PUBG Mobile Light launches?
Pre-register and the app installs automatically on launch day. We also update this tracker as Krafton confirms details.
Does the release date apply to India (BGMI Lite)?
No. India gets BGMI Lite, a separate game with pre-registration open and a launch expected by the end of 2026. The November 2026 window doesn’t apply to it.
Does pre-registering guarantee a reward?
No. Krafton hasn’t announced any pre-registration reward tiers for PUBG Mobile Light. Pre-registering guarantees a launch notification and an automatic download, nothing more.
Is there a PUBG Mobile Light APK available now?
No. There’s no official APK. The only legitimate sources are the Google Play listing and the App Store listing, and pre-registering means the game downloads itself on launch day.
Can PUBG Mobile Light players squad with PUBG Mobile players?
Yes. Cross-play with standard PUBG Mobile is supported, and ranks, matchmaking and leaderboards are unified across both clients.
Do my PUBG Mobile items carry over to Light?
Yes. Existing PUBG Mobile accounts work in Light, and owned items and cosmetics carry over.
How big is PUBG Mobile Light?
Around 1GB on Android. Apple lists the iOS build at 2.5 GB, though app thinning means your device pulls less. Erangel is included at launch, and Miramar, Sanhok, Team Deathmatch and Metro Royale download on demand.
What time does it unlock where you’re?
The App Store listing doesn’t just carry a date. It carries a timestamp: 12 November 2026 at 08:00 UTC. Since nobody has converted that, here it’s in local time.
| City | Local time |
|---|---|
| Los Angeles | 12:00 AM, Thu 12 Nov |
| New York | 3:00 AM, Thu 12 Nov |
| Sao Paulo | 5:00 AM, Thu 12 Nov |
| London | 8:00 AM, Thu 12 Nov |
| Berlin and Paris | 9:00 AM, Thu 12 Nov |
| Cairo | 10:00 AM, Thu 12 Nov |
| Dubai | 12:00 PM, Thu 12 Nov |
| Karachi | 1:00 PM, Thu 12 Nov |
| New Delhi | 1:30 PM, Thu 12 Nov |
| Dhaka | 2:00 PM, Thu 12 Nov |
| Jakarta and Bangkok | 3:00 PM, Thu 12 Nov |
| Singapore and Manila | 4:00 PM, Thu 12 Nov |
| Sydney | 7:00 PM, Thu 12 Nov |
Two honest caveats. That timestamp is the date field Apple exposes on the listing, and developers can move it, so treat it as the current plan rather than a countdown you can set your life by. And App Store rollouts don’t always land to the exact minute worldwide, so give it a little slack on the day.
If you’ve already pre-registered you don’t need to be awake for it. The app downloads itself once it goes live.
